An Act relative to disability retirement benefits for veterans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 157 section 2 of the Acts of 2005 shall be amended by striking out the following- “No payment shall be made under this act with respect to a person who is deceased” and adding the following sentence- “In the case of a veteran being deceased a payment under this section shall be made in a lump sum to a living spouse or a living family member.”
