An Act relative to residency.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any law, ordinance, rule or policy to the contrary, no members of a regular fire or police department or a fire alarm division shall be required to reside within the limits of the city or town in which they are employed as a provision for continued employment.
