An Act declaring March the 26th as First Responders Day.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

An Act designating March the 26th as First Responders Day.

Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 15XXXXX, inserted by chapter 344 of the acts of 2014, the following section:-

Section 15YYYYY. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart March 26th as First Responder Day, and recommending that said day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people. In observation of this day, municipal police departments and the department of state police as well as municipal fire departments and state fire services shall fly flags at half-staff.
