An Act to waive motor vehicle registration fees on a primary passenger vehicle for disabled veterans.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Chapter 90 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting the following section:-
Section 2J. The registration fee for motor vehicles imposed by the Registry of Motor Vehicles shall not apply to a motor vehicle owned and registered by a veteran, as defined in section 7 of chapter 4, who according to the records of the United States Veterans Administration, by reason of service in the armed forces of the United States, has determined by the medical advisory board established under section 8C of chapter 90 to be permanently disabled.
