An Act exempting certain school buses from MassDOT toll collection.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 13(b) of chapter 6C of the General Laws as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:

(b)(1) The department shall not charge or collect a toll for transit carrying “school pupil” as defined in Section 1 of Chapter 90 of the Massachusetts General Laws by an official “school bus,” as defined in said section, of the commonwealth or any municipality, political subdivision or instrumentality thereof, while such vehicles are on official business.
