An Act relative to accessibility determination for ‘THE RIDE’ Program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1:
Section 5 of Chapter 161A as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition of the Massachusetts General Laws is hereby amended by inserting the following new section:
“(s) The authority shall create and promulgate eligibility forms and make said forms available to physicians upon request. Determination of eligibility pursuant to The Ride program shall be allowed to be determined by an individual’s primary care physician upon the completion and submission of said eligibility form to the authority. An individual shall receive full services from The Ride provided his or her eligibility form is approved by the authority. The authority shall evaluate received eligibility forms in a timely manner”
