An Act relative to the expiration of a nonresident enrolled student license.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2010 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 10A the following section:-

Section 10B.  A license issued to a nonresident enrolled as a student at a school or college in the commonwealth shall expire concurrently with the expiration of the student’s immigrant visa issued pursuant to section 1101(a)(15)(F) or section 1101(a)(15)(M) of title 8 of the US code.  The registrar shall promulgate regulations necessary to effectuate this section, including, but not limited to, the establishment of a formal policy of the registry for renewal of such licenses in instances in which a student immigrant visa was renewed.
