Hill and others for legislation to allow veterans living in housing authorities to deduct the cost of traveling for medical purposes from the income total assessed by said authority.  Veterans and Federal Affairs.

An Act relative to housing for veterans.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. The fifth paragraph of section 32 of chapter 121B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- In determining the net income for the purpose of computing the rent of a veteran, as defined in clause 43 of section 7 of chapter 4, the housing authority shall deduct from such income calculation the monthly costs associated with transportation to and from medical care for such veteran.
