An Act relative to protecting victims and witnesses of domestic violence.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. To provide additional funding for the for the protection of victims and witnesses of domestic violence, the sum set forth in section 2 for the purpose and subject to the conditions specified in this act, is hereby appropriated from the General Fund, subject to the laws regulating the disbursement of public funds.

EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY

Office of the Secretary.

xxxx-xxxx For the operation of a witness protection program under chapter 263A of the General Laws; provided, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended to provide witness protection services to victims and witnesses of domestic abuse, as defined in section 1 of chapter 209A of the General Laws ……………………….$500,000
