An Act supporting recycling across the Commonwealth.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 4 of chapter 6C of the General Laws, as most recently amended by section 17 of chapter 165 of the acts of 2014, is hereby further amended by striking out subsections (i) and (j) and inserting in place thereof the following 3 subsections:-

(i) for expenditure for highway field services and transportation support programs including, but not limited to, state police highway patrols and accident teams;

(j) for expenditure to provide and maintain recycling bins for the collection of recyclable paper, plastic, glass and metal at each tourist information center owned, operated, or maintained by the department along the state highways; and

(k) for any other expense of the department necessary to carry out its purposes.
