SECTION 1.  The town of Norton  may transfer from the water and sewer commissioners, the conservation  commission or any other board having custody thereof to the board of selectmen for public way purposes, including, without limitation, the purpose of constructing, reconstructing,  repairing, rehabilitating or improving Plain street, the bridge over Canoe river, walls, drainage, slopes and utilities, and erosion control and granting  easements  for the foregoing  purposes, the care, custody and control of certain portions of the parcels of land on Plain street shown on assessors  map 19 as lot 3 and on assessors  map 18 as lots 63-01 and 128, which  portions are shown more particularly on a plan of land entitled "Plan and Profile of Plain Street (Bridge No. N-23-017) in the Town of Norton Bristol County Preliminary Right of Way," prepared by TEC, Inc., and a plan entitled "Road Acceptance Plan in Norton, MA," dated August 27, 2014, prepared by Hancock Associates.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon passage.
