In the One Hundred and Eighty-Ninth General Court

An Act relative to continuity of healthcare.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 176Q of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
Section 19. The authority shall ensure, the fullest extent possible under federal law, that whenever a person currently enrolled in a health benefit plan offered through the connector transfers to or otherwise becomes enrolled in a different health benefit plan offered through the connector, that person shall continue receiving all benefits offered by the original health benefit plan for a period of no less than 30 days.
