An Act relative to repealing the tax on tobacco.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, there shall be no sales tax imposed upon tobacco products being offered for sale at retail or wholesale in the commonwealth; provided, that this sales tax exemption shall not affect the excise tax imposed pursuant to chapter 64C of the General Laws.
