An Act relative to funding public libraries and the Centerville-Osterville-Marston Mills fire district.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 169 of the acts of 1937 is hereby amended by inserting after section 2A the following section:-
Section 2B. The Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire District shall annually appropriate and transfer funds to the Centerville Public Library, the Marstons Mills Library and the Osterville Free Library; provided, however, the total amount of funds appropriated and transferred shall be not less than a quarter of 1 per cent of the district’s total annual budget but not more than half of 1 per cent of the district’s total annual budget. The fire district may raise funds to carry out the appropriation and transfer required pursuant to this section.
