An Act restoring accountability in claims against certain non-governmental actions for damage caused by public way defects.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 18 of Chapter 84 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following sentence:- Except as provided in section 21, failure to give such notice for such injury or damage shall not be a defense under this section in an action against any private corporation or other non-governmental person or entity.
