An Act authorizing the town of Pembroke to use water supply and conservation land for public way purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. The town of Pembroke may transfer from the board of water commissioners, the conservation commission, and/or any other board having custody thereof to the board of selectmen for public way purposes, including, without limitation, the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, repairing, rehabilitating, and/or improving Route 14, walls, drainage, slopes, utilities, and erosion control, the care, custody and control of certain portions of the town-owned parcels of land located on Mattakeesett Street and Barker Street in said town and described in deeds recorded with the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds in Book 37420, Page 291 and in Book 3615, page 570, which portions so transferred are shown more particularly on a plan of land entitled “Plan and Profile of Route 14 in the Town of Pembroke Plymouth County,” prepared by the Massachusetts Highway Department.
Section 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
