By Mr. Kafka of Stoughton, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3595) of Louis L. Kafka, James E. Timilty and Brian A. Joyce (by vote of the town) that the town of Sharon be authorized to issue an abatement for a portion of real estate taxes assessed on a certain parcel of land in said town.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act authorizing the town of Sharon to abate certain real property taxes.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the board of assessors of the town of Sharon may abate a portion of the fiscal years 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 real estate taxes assessed on the parcel of land located at 9 Glendale Road and owned by Reverend Dale Van Meter, in the total amount of $5,401.77, for the purpose of remedying inaccurate frontage calculations and land valuation errors for such fiscal years.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
