By Representative Madden of Nantucket and Senator Wolf, a joint petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3618) of Timothy R. Madden and Daniel A. Wolf (by vote of the town) that the town of Nantucket be authorized to change the terms of office for the members of the Nantucket Historic District Commission.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act relative to the composition of the Nantucket Historic District Commission.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Section 1. Section 3 of the Nantucket Historic District Act as amended (Chapter 395 of the Acts of 1970, as amended by Chapter 291 of the Acts of 1985, Chapter 314 of the Acts of 1990, section 2 of Chapter 193 of the Acts of 1998, and Chapter 338 of the Acts of 2014) is hereby further amended by deleting the third sentence and replacing it with "All five members shall be elected for rotating three year terms at the annual town election each year"

Section 2. Section 3 of chapter 338 of the Acts of 2014 is hereby repealed.

Section 3. This Act shall take effect upon passage and shall govern the 2016 Annual Town Elections for the Town of Nantucket.
