An Act declaring the first Monday of the month of May as school crossing guard day.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 15WWWWW, inserted by chapter 294 of the acts of 2014, the following section:-

Section 15XXXXX. The governor shall annually issue a proclamation setting apart the first Monday in May as School Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, in recognition of the important role that crossing guards play in keeping students safe as they head to and from school and recommending that the day be observed in an appropriate manner by the people.
