An Act authorizing the town of Orleans to lease a certain parcel of land.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and specifically exempting the lease from chapter 30B of the General Laws, the town of Orleans may lease a certain parcel of land to the Orleans Historical Society, Inc., a corporation duly organized pursuant to the laws of the commonwealth for a term not to exceed 99 years to relocate one or more historic structures on the land adjacent to the Orleans Historical Society Meeting House.
The land to be leased is a portion of Lot 2 on a plan recorded in the Barnstable Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 572 Page 77.
SECTION 2. The board of selectmen of the town of Orleans may determine the terms and conditions of a lease for the parcel of land as described in section 1 as the board determines to be appropriate.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
