An Act relative to carriers of property by motor vehicle.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

The ninth paragraph of Section 22 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by deleting the second sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:-

There shall be a fee for such permit, and persons operating a vehicle when engaged in such transportation or delivery shall be required to carry such permit or certified copy thereof; provided, however, that at the option of the permittee, the permittee may pay a fee of $3,500 for such permit covering all of the vehicles thereof, and persons operating a vehicle when engaged in such transportation or delivery shall be required to carry such permit or a photostatic copy thereof.
