An Act relative to the Disclosure of Information about Vital Statistics; Conditions.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 2A of Chapter 46 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition is hereby amended by inserting the following language after section 2A:

2A(1): Examinations of records and returns of children born to parents who are married at the time of birth shall not be permitted except upon the showing of proper identification such as a valid driver’s license or valid passport. The Town Clerk or appropriate municipal officer shall keep a record of who has requested a vital record.
