An Act designating a certain bridge in the town of Barnstable as the Louis Karras memorial bridge.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. The overpass spanning state highway route 6 overpass at Phinney's/Hyannis Road between Exits 6 and 7 in the town of Barnstable shall be designated and known as the Louis Karras Overpass. Mr. Karras is a local hero and a veteran of World War II. He is a highly decorated veteran as the recipient of the Bronze Star, French Legion of Honor Medal, and Purple Heart. Suitable markers bearing said designation shall be attached thereto by the department of highways in compliance with the standards of said department.
