An Act designating a certain bridge in the town of Harwich as the United States Navy Lieutenant Junior Grade Ralph Wallace Burns Memorial Bridge.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  The bridge on U.S. highway route 6, spanning state highway route 124 in the town of Harwich shall be designated and known as the U.S. Navy Lt. Jr. Ralph Wallace Burns Memorial Bridge, in honor and recognition of U.S Navy Lt. Jr. Ralph Wallace Burns who lost his life in WW2 while serving as a pilot.  The Massachusetts Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain suitable markers bearing the designation in compliance with the standards of the department.

SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
