An Act relative to firefighters in the town of Concord.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 99A of chapter 41 of the General Laws, or any other general or special law to the contrary, a member of the regular fire department of the town of Concord appointed subsequent to August 1, 1978 may reside within those municipalities that shall be mutually agreed to by the town and the International Association of Fire Fighters, local 1942, or its successor organization, in a collective bargaining agreement, which may be amended from time to time.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
