By Mr. Walsh of Framingham, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3935) of Chris Walsh and others (by vote of the town) that the town of Framingham be authorized to increase the membership of the board of health from three members to five members.  Municipalities and Regional Government.  [Local Approval Received.]

An Act to amend Chapter 27 of The Acts of 1996.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Chapter 27 Section 12 of the Acts of 1996 is hereby amended by striking the third sentence of the first paragraph and replacing it with: “The number of members, the terms of office and the powers and duties of the board of public works and the parks and recreation commission shall remain as currently in effect, until changed in accordance with the provisions of this act” and adding the following section:

SECTION 2. “The board of health shall consist of five members, all serving three-year staggered terms, until changed in accordance with the provisions of this act.”
