An Act relative to special education funding reform.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 5 of chapter 71B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2012 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting in line 24 after the word “chapter” the following:—

Furthermore, the cost associated with and appropriated by one district shall fund all needs of a child through the end of the current fiscal year should a child change school districts. Upon the beginning of a new fiscal year, said new district incurs all cost henceforth.
