In the One Hundred and Eighty-Ninth General Court

An Act relative to total amounts distributed to cities and town for the purpose of education.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary in each fiscal year beginning after January 1, 2016 the total amounts to be distributed and paid to each city and town through chapter 70 education aid shall be at a minimum 17.5 percent of their Foundation Budget; provided further, that said funds distributed shall be represented in a separate column on the cherry sheet produced by the department of revenue.
