An Act further regulating the disposition of a certain parcel of land in the town of Belchertown.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1. Section 7 of chapter 67 of the acts of 2011 is hereby amended by adding the following subsection:-

(k) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, prior to offering the property described in clause (1) of subsection (b) for disposition, the commissioner shall notify the town of Belchertown in writing of its intention to dispose of the property and shall offer to sell, lease for terms up to 99 years, including all renewals and extensions, or otherwise grant, convey or transfer to the town an interest in said property, or portion thereof, and shall enter into negotiations with the town to sell, lease for terms up to 99 years, including all renewals and extensions, or otherwise grant, convey or transfer to the town an interest in said property, or portions thereof, if the commissioner receives written notice from the town of an interest in the property or any portion thereof within 120 days of the date of the town’s receipt of the commissioner’s written notice.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage
