An Act authorizing the city of Medford to use certain land for any municipal purpose.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law, regulation or ordinance to the contrary, the city of Medford may use for any municipal purpose a certain parcel of land that has heretofore been used for park purposes. The land shall no longer be considered park land and shall not be under the control or jurisdiction of the park department of the city of Medford but shall hereinafter be under the control and jurisdiction of the department of public works of the city of Medford. The land is bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point near the intersection of Aquavia road and Elm street, said point being 120 feet more or less northeasterly of the easterly sideline of Aquavia road and 40 feet more or less northerly of the northerly sideline of Elm street. Thence:
WESTERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 380 feet more or less; thence:
SOUTHWESTERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 410 feet more or less; thence:
WESTERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 130 feet more or less; thence:
NORTHWESTERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 205 feet more or less; thence:
NORTHERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 300 feet more or less; thence:
EASTERLY: by land of the city of Medford and over Wright’s pond a distance of 830 feet more or less; thence:
EASTERLY: by land of the city of Medford a distance of 440 feet more or less to a stone bound; thence:
SOUTHWESTERLY: by land of the city of Medford along an arc a distance of 530.57 feet to the point of beginning.
The area described above contains 10 acres more or less, and is more particularly shown on plan number 18209, entitled “Topographic Map Wright’s Pond,” scale: 1 inch equals 80 feet, dated October 28, 1964, on file with the office of the city engineer of the city of Medford.
