An Act authorizing the town of Deerfield to continue the employment of police officers Gary Sibilia and David Gendron.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, Gary Sibilia and David Gendron, police officers with the police department of the town of Deerfield, may each continue to serve in their positions until each reaches 70 years of age, or until the date of their retirement, or until they are relieved of their duties; provided, however, that each is mentally and physically capable of performing the duties of their respective position; and provided further, that each shall be examined by a physician to determine such capability . Deductions shall continue to be made from the regular compensation of Gary Sibilia and David Gendron pursuant to chapter 32 of the General Laws for any service performed until the date of each officer’s retirement.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
