An Act relative to retirement benefits for Kevin Wilder.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding section 12 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the state board of retirement shall allow Kevin Wilder to elect to receive: (1) a retirement allowance equal to 67 per cent of the average annual rate of regular compensation he received during any period of 3 consecutive years of creditable service for which such rate of compensation was the highest, or on the average annual rate of regular compensation he received during the period or periods, whether consecutive or not, constituting his last 3 years of creditable service preceding retirement, whichever is the greater, provided, that he elects to receive a retirement allowance pursuant to option (a) of subdivision (2) of said section 12 of said chapter 32; or (2) a retirement allowance equal to 62 per cent of the average annual rate of regular compensation he received during any period of 3 consecutive years of creditable service for which such rate of compensation was the highest, or on the average annual rate of regular compensation he received during the period or periods, whether consecutive or not, constituting his last 3 years of creditable service preceding retirement, whichever is the greater, provided, that he elects to receive a retirement allowance pursuant to option (c) of said subdivision (2) of said section 12 of said chapter 32.
(b) Any retirement benefit provided to Kevin Wilder pursuant to this act shall be in lieu of, and shall not be in addition to, any benefits he may have otherwise received from the state board of retirement.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of the date of Kevin Wilder’s retirement.
