An Act regarding transfers from mental health trust funds to the General Fund.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide for transfers from mental health trust funds to the General Fund, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the comptroller shall transfer the following amounts to the General Fund not later than June 30, 2017: (i) $4,000,000 from the unexpended balance of the Mental Health Information System Trust Fund; (ii) $2,000,000 from the H.C. Solomon Mental Health Center Trust Fund; (iii) $658,436 from the Cape Cod and Islands Mental Health and Retardation Center Trust Fund; and (iv) $1,000,000 from the Quincy Mental Health Center Trust Fund.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect as of July 1, 2016.
