An Act granting creditable service to James Boyle.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the state employees’ retirement board shall grant James Boyle,  an employee of the department of transitional assistance, with creditable service for the service he rendered for the town of Clarksburg from February 10, 1997 to February 4, 1998 and the service he rendered for the city of Pittsfield from January 6, 1992 to March 29, 2002 for the purpose of determining his superannuation retirement allowance under paragraph (a) of subdivision (2) of section 5 of chapter 32 of the General Laws.  Before the date that any retirement allowance becomes effective in the case of James Boyle, he shall pay into the annuity savings fund of the state employees’ retirement system, in 1 sum or installments, upon such terms and conditions as the state employees’ retirement system may prescribe, an amount equal to the accumulated regular deductions withdrawn by him from the Berkshire county retirement system, the Pittsfield contributory retirement system, or any other contributory retirement system established pursuant to said chapter 32 that James Boyle contributed to as an employee of the town of Clarksburg from February 10, 1997 to February 4, 1998  or the city of Pittsfield from January 6, 1992 to March 29, 2002, together with buyback interest, as defined in section 1 of said chapter 32.
