An Act relative to parenting time rights.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

SECTION 1. As used in this chapter the following words, unless the context requires otherwise, shall have the following meanings:—

“parenting time” refers to a period of time that a parent spend with his or her child pursuant to a court order under this chapter.

SECTION 2. Section 38 of Chapter 209 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 44, 49, 50, 53, 55, 56, 57, and 59 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 3. Section 31A of Chapter 208 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 44, 49, 50, 53, 55, 56, 57, and 59 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 4. Section 3 of Chapter 209A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 48, 53, 54, 57, 59, 60, 61, and 63 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 5. Section 1 of Chapter 208B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 and 6 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 6. Section 37 of Chapter 209 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 91 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 7. Section 31 of Chapter 208 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 13 and 14 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 8. Section 28 of Chapter 208 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 97 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 9. Section 40 of Chapter 262 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 48 and 51 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 10. Section 39D of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 8, 10, 14, 15, 16, and 20 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 11: Section 36 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 25 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 12: Section 35 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 16 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 14. Section 34H of Chapter 71 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 29, 31, and 33 the word “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 15. Section 21 of Chapter 119 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 34 the word “visits” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 16. Section 1 of Chapter 209C of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 7, the words “visitation rights” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 17. Section 2 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 19, the words “visitation rights” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 18. Section 3 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 7, 8, 16 and 18, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 19. Section 4 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 1, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 20. Section 5 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 1, 35, 44, 47 and 48 the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 21. Section 7 of said Chapter 209C as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 22. Section 9 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 49, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 23. Section 10 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 60, 64, 68, 69 and 70e words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 24. Said section 10 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 64, the words “visitation center” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting center.

SECTION 25. Section 11 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 4, 11, 19, 44, 46, 51 and 53, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof, in each instance, the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 26. Section 15 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 11, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 27. Section 20 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 3 and 4, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.

SECTION 28. Section 23 of said Chapter 209C, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in line 3, the words “visitation” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- parenting time.
