SECTION 1. Notwithstanding Chapter 121C of the General Laws or any other general or special law to the contrary, the Deerfield Economic Development Industrial Corporation may acquire and hold land, easements and other interests in land for development, may receive or borrow public funds, and may exercise all other powers identified in Chapter 121C, either directly or indirectly for commercial, business and housing development purposes in the town of Deerfield and may convey all or a portion of such land, easement, and other interests in land in a developed or undeveloped condition, on such terms as it deems appropriate to accomplish such purpose or any other purpose permitted by said Chapter 121C.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its passage.
