An Act relative to licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises in the town of Wareham.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws, chapter 424 of the acts of 2006, chapter 194 of the acts of 2010, chapter 393 of the acts of 2014, chapter 145 of the acts of 2015, or any other general or special law to the contrary, the licensing authority of the town of Wareham may transfer any license issued pursuant to or authorized by said chapter 424, said chapter 194, said chapter 393, said chapter 145 or any other special act authorizing the town of Wareham to grant a license for the sale of: (1) all alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises; (2) wines and malt beverages to be drunk on the premises; (3) all alcoholic beverages not to be drunk on the premises; or (4) wines and malt beverages not to be drunk on the premises, to any other location in the town of Wareham. There shall be no location, duration or ownership restrictions upon such licenses.
(b) Licenses made transferable pursuant to this act shall not count toward the quota for the town of Wareham established and calculated pursuant to section 17 of chapter 138 of the General Laws.
(c) The licensing authority of the town of Wareham may reissue, renew or otherwise revise any existing license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages or wines and malt beverages, as described in subsection (a), as necessary to further the purpose of this act.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
