An Act authorizing the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to supply water to the town of North Reading.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (d) of section 8 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984, as most recently amended by section 1 of chapter 12 of the acts of 2009, is hereby further amended by inserting after the word "Northborough" the following words: North Reading.
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding section 1, the provision of water services by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to the town of North Reading shall commence only after the board of directors of said authority has voted approval having first made the findings as required in clauses (1) to (6), inclusive, of paragraph (d) of section 8 of chapter 372 of the acts of 1984 and having made other such determinations in accordance with applicable policies of the authority, and after all required approvals have been received, including, as applicable, other regulatory bodies where required, and the advisory board said authority, but section71 of said chapter 372 shall not apply.
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect upon passage.
