An Act providing for post-employment benefits for school bus drivers in the city of Pittsfield.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding section 1 of chapter 32 of the General Laws or any other general or special law, rule or regulation or collective bargaining agreement to the contrary, the definition of salary or wages for the purposes of calculating regular compensation pursuant to said chapter 32, shall include payments of charter work assignments or any other payment of salary or wages to school bus drivers and attendants employed by and paid by the City of Pittsfield school committee; provided, however that salary or wage payments shall not exceed 40 hours per week.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage and shall apply to payments made from January 1, 2009 to payments made or accrued on or before September 1, 2017.
