An Act changing the term unenrolled to undeclared.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

“SECTION 1.  Chapter 53, Section 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking the word “unenrolled” in the Section 6 title name and replacing it with “undeclared”.

SECTION 2.  Chapter 53, Section 6 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking the word “Unenrolled” and replacing it with “Undeclared”.

SECTION 3.  Chapter 53, Section 37 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking the words “If the voter was unenrolled before selecting a party ballot, he shall continue to be unenrolled and shall be recorded as unenrolled” and replacing it with “If the voter was undeclared before selecting a party ballot, he shall continue to be undeclared and shall be recorded as undeclared”.

SECTION 4.  Chapter 53, Section 37A of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking “if he is unenrolled” and replacing it with “if he is undeclared”.

SECTION 5.  Chapter 53, Section 37A of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking “voter has cast ballot if he is unenrolled” and replacing it with “voter has cast ballot if he is undeclared”.

SECTION 6.  Chapter 53, Section 38 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking “section 1 of chapter 50 shall be considered unenrolled” and replacing it with “section 1 of chapter 50 shall be considered undeclared”.

SECTION 7.  Chapter 54, Section 41 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking “resulting in the term “Unenrolled” and replacing it with “resulting in the term Undeclared”.

SECTION 8.  Chapter 53, Section 72 of the General Laws is hereby amended by striking “voter has supported an unenrolled candidate” and replacing it with “voter has supported an undeclared candidate”.
