In the One Hundred and Eighty-Ninth General Court

An Act relative to the central Plymouth County water district.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8 of chapter 371 of the acts of 1964 is hereby amended by adding the following words:-, or in the opinion of the department of agricultural resources or the water resources commission, the diversion of such waters would endanger the environmental health of the associated ponds and rivers.
SECTION 2. Section 9 of said chapter of said acts is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
Furthermore, Silver Lake, Monponsett Pond and Furnace Pond shall be managed at all times, unless prevented by drought, such that there is continuous flow provided to all the out-flowing rivers, including Jones River, Stump Brook and Herring Brook, to support and sustain their water quality as well as maintain the health and function of the ecosystem.
