An Act designating a certain area in the Dorchester section of the city of Boston in memory of Trooper Mark S. Charbonnier and Deputy Sheriff Sgt. Richard "Ricky" Dever.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
The Department of Conservation and Recreation shall designate a certain area along the Neponset River in Dorchester in the memory of Trooper S. Charbonnier and Deputy Sheriff Sgt. Richard "Ricky" Dever. The area shall be on Department controlled property at the Neponset II Park, Pope John Paul II Park or the surrounding area. The Department shall consult with the Dever and Charbonnier Families to design, erect, and maintain a suitable marker that may include but is not limited to an overlook, bench, flagpole, kiosk, or memorial stone.
