An Act relative to access to the Hollingsworth Dam.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

SECTION 1.  The department of conservation and recreation shall build a public access around Hollingsworth Dam in the Neponset river in the Hyde Park section of the city of Boston to provide the public with portage below the dam or out to Truman Parkway to ensure the health and safety of the public, including those persons who walk along the river and those who engage in recreational activities on the river such as canoeing and kayaking. The department shall perform regular review and maintenance of that access for the benefit of the public and provide for the use of equipment and gear necessary to carry out the purposes of this act.
