An Act relative to qualifying student health insurance plans.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 18 of chapter 15A of the General Laws, as most recently amended by chapter 35 of the acts of 2013, is hereby further amended by inserting, after the words “providing comparable coverage”, the following phrase:-
provided that such institution shall allow students to waiver participation in its student health insurance program if the student can demonstrate current participation in a health care sharing ministry provided by established religious organizations comprised of individuals with sincerely held beliefs;
