An Act relative to health insurance coverage.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 118E of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-
"Section 63. Health insurer providers shall be prohibited from canceling coverage for non-payment until the insured is a full 90 days late with premium payments. Said providers shall reinstate coverage if the insured pays the premiums in arrears. Said providers shall not deny reinstatement to the insured once the premiums in arrears are paid.".
