An Act to prohibit the issuance of mortgages to persons convicted of arson.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Chapter 167E of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-

Section 17.  No bank or mortgage broker or lender licensed under section 2 of chapter 255E shall make a mortgage loan available to any person who has been convicted of arson under chapter 266 or is a fugitive with open warrants.
