An Act relative to funding the Behavioral Health Workforce Development Trust Fund.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Section 2FFFF of chapter 29 of the General Laws, as amended by Chapter 224 of the Acts of 2012 is hereby amended by inserting after clause j the following new section:-
“The secretary may also designate up to 10 per cent of available funds to be transferred by the comptroller to the Behavioral Health Workforce Development Trust Fund to develop, support and promote professional development opportunities in the mental health field. The secretary shall only designate funds for this purpose to the extent that the Behavioral Health Workforce Development Trust Fund does not receive adequate funding in the annual appropriations bill approved by the general court.”
