An Act relative to Charlestown's designated port area.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Notwithstanding any general or special law, rule or regulation to the contrary, a certain
parcel of filled land located on Terminal street, northerly of Medford street, in the
Charlestown section of the city of Boston shall not be included within the boundaries of
any designated port area. This parcel, located at 30 -50 Terminal street in the
Charlestown section of the city of Boston, is registered under certificate of title number
105818 in the Suffolk county registry of deeds, and is described in said certificate and
shown as Lot D on plan 1874-C, and shown as Lot H-1 on plan 2008-C, filed with the
Suffolk registry district of the land court, and also includes a parcel of unregistered land
consisting of nineteen twentieths of an acre, more or less, lying adjacent to and easterly
of said Lot D.
Notwithstanding chapter 91 of the General Laws or any other general or special law, rule
or regulation to the contrary, no waterways license pursuant to said chapter 91 shall be
required for the construction, reconstruction, renovation, use, change of use, or re-use of
any building, structure or premises, which are or may be: (a) used or constructed on
present or former private tidelands filled under the authority of chapter 105 of the acts of
1852, chapter 481 of the acts of 1855 and chapter 334 of the acts of 1893 and (b) located
on the parcel at 30 - 50 Terminal street in the Charlestown section of the city of Boston.
