By Mr. Dooley of Norfolk, a petition (subject to Joint Rule 12) of Shawn Dooley that the state board of retirement be authorized to grant Paul Burns full-time creditable service.  Public Service.

An Act authorizing Paul Burns, an employee of the commonwealth, to apply for the retirement incentive program.

 

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
 

Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, and in order to promote the public good, the state board of retirement shall credit Paul Burns, a state employee, with full-time creditable service for his employment service already so rendered from May 16, 2005 to May 16, 2015 for the purpose of determining his eligibility for the retirement incentive program under chapter 19 of the acts of 2015.  Paul Burns must satisfy all other applicable requirements for a retirement allowance as set forth in chapter 32 of the general laws, and under the rules and regulations of the state board of retirement.

Upon satisfying such applicable requirements, Paul Burns shall, notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, be eligible for the retirement incentive program as provided in chapter 19 of the acts of 2015 and may apply for retirement pursuant to said act.
