An Act relative to cigarette butt disposal.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 54 of chapter 148 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “any”, in line 4, the following words:- cigarette butt or.
SECTION 2. Said section 54 of said chapter 148, as so appearing, is hereby further amended by striking out, in line 7, the words “one hundred dollars” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- $500.
SECTION 3. Section 16 of chapter 270 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after the word “cans”, in lines 3 and 22, in each instance, the following words:- , cigarettes, cigarette butts.
